We woke up early Saturday morning at the hotel to grab a breakfast downstairs. It was fun to get to know Christen’s grandmother and mom a little bit better. They were just full of encouragement for me and full of excitement for the event that was happening that day!
Soon, we checked out of the hotel and headed to Salon Azure to get Christens hair and makeup done! Alberto did her hair and did an amazing job…

Christen’s sister Carol Ann came along to get her hair done as well.

… and Amy did Christen’s makeup!

It was raining and pretty gloomy outside so we weren’t able to take advantage of beautiful light outdoors, so we had to get extra creative indoors. Love the wall color in this room.

Christen surrounded by all the women in her life. So fun to see everyone interact!

I absolutely love these next two shots! She was such a stunning bride!

Christen and Carol Ann

Danny had hurt his knee the week before so he decided to lay low and relax to his ipod on the couch before the ceremony.

Christen’s brother Paul sang a song before the ceremony began.

The first time they’ve seen each other today!

I loved how so excited everyone was!

As you can see, it was a very small wedding. Only 26 people total. To make it a little more personal, everyone sat in the choir loft.

Married!

Let the celebration begin…

Got a few minutes alone with them. They were brave enough to go outside while it was raining. They’re so cool to entertain me.![]()

Proof they just got married. I asked them to react how they were feeling…![]()

Bubble sendoff and a limo ride from Knoxville to Atlanta!

I had become close with everyone there so it was kinda sad for the day to end. And it was sad to say goodbye to everyone. On my way back to Chattanooga, I had time to think about how blessed I am to do what I do. I was so honored to allowed to in their inner circle of family to document who they are. Everyone was so warm, friendly and inviting to me. It’s the kind of family anyone would want to be a part of. Full of emotion, excitement, energy, smiles, laughter, and tears. And it was cool to capture all of it!
Christen and Danny, thank you so much. You guys mean the world to me. I can’t wait to see you guys again. I already miss you two! You’re life together is going to be amazing because you two are amazing! I’m excited for you!

Jeannie ( Aunt Jeannie) - You are truly the most amazing photographer I have ever seen. NO wonder Danny and Christen raved about you. WOW…. I feel like I almost shouldnt be looking at a few of the pics.. they were so intimate and showed such emotion. You need to move to Tampa… you would have a booming business. I feel like I was there… I have to admit,, my family looks GOOD!!! and Danny’s family… WOW!! bring on the beautiful grandchildren and make sure you capture the grandchildren the way you have captured this wedding. Thank you for such a great job for those of us who could not attend. I feel like I was there.
MattDJ - Rich, I don’t know what to say. Seriously. You totally created a post that draws the viewer in, introduces them to everyone, and I’m sad that it’s over. What-a-beautiful-capture of an absolutely beautiful and sacred day. Bravo Rich!
Heather Smith - I am totally speechless. These photos are stunning, as are these families! I am dying to meet these amazing people! Honey, you’ve done an incredible job capturing the love, joy, and beauty that characterized that weekend. Amazing!!!
