When Gigi’s Cupcakes contacted me to photograph their cupcakes that are aimed toward brides for their upcoming bridal show, I couldn’t pass up an opportunity like that. Gigi’s is trying to target brides as an alternate to having a traditional wedding cake. Cupcakes instead of cake? Aren’t cupcakes for 1 year old b-day parties? Um, have you SEEN these cupcakes? They’re amazing. They are NOT your typical cupcake! Adults travel from all around to get their hands on these cupcakes. They have cupcake flavors for the kids and definitely ones for the adults including tiramisu, carrot cake, apple spice and others.
In fact, it actually makes a lot of sense to have cupcakes instead of cake. You can have a variety if you’d like, and they are essentially pre-cut cake that will make your wedding guests think you’re a genius! Come on Rich! Haven’t you been to NYC?! They’re having a cupcake war right now between the major cupcake bakers there. I’ve tried two of the three. I didn’t get to that last one before we left! But they were SO good!!! I’ll send you a pic of one of mine I ate on facebook!!! MMM!!!

We had these at the bridal show and they were AWESOME!!! My fiancee can’t stop talking about how good they were. His nickname for me is cupcake and mine for him is Cheesecake so we are going to have Gigi’s cupcakes for the guest, a small wedding cake to take pictures with and save the top layer but cupcakes make more sense, they are easier to hold, everyone gets the same amount, no guessing on numbers, no professional cake cutting fee, I can’t wait!!!
