Matt & Lauren’s Engagement Session

By the time our engagement session was over, I was mad at Matt and Lauren. Not because the session went horrible. Nope. I was mad at them because the session went quite the opposite… it went AMAZING! And the reason I was mad at them was because my time with them had sadly come to an end. You see, they’re getting married in Florida and they had already hired a photographer down there. I know… sad, right!?

Ashley & Casey’s Engagement Session

So excited to share these with you! Ashley and her mom found me through Soiree’s. Having photographed Ashley’s friend’s wedding already and getting a glowing review from her didn’t hurt either! I was so excited to have them as clients but am now MORE excited after spending some time with them, getting to know them a bit better and photographing their wonderful connection with each other!

The Moncrief Family Session!

Love the Moncrief family! They started off as clients several years ago but they have become great friends of mine and Heather. Their little daughter Ada is best friends with my daughter. It’s so fun seeing them playing with each other. They’re two of the cutest kids ever!

So now the Moncrief family is going to grow again… just like ours! So we wanted to get a session in to document the family before they add a little boy next month!

Kirk and Cole >> Engaged!

Last week I got to photograph a wonderful couple. Meet Kirk and Cole! The nicest couple! We walked around Coolidge Park for a while and the very first photo is the actual spot they got engaged! Afterwards we headed up Signal Mountain and took advantage of the beautiful landscapes there. Check out some of my favorite photos below!

Thank you both for being such wonderful clients! I really enjoyed hanging out with you for a couple of hours and getting to know you better! Can’t wait till your wedding next year!

Meredith + Brian [Engaged]

I’ve got two words for Meredith and Brian — SO FUN.

Hopefully that will show in these photos. They were so fun to work with. Meredith is a fellow photographer in town and we’ve been friends for some time. That’s why I was thrilled when she wanted me to photograph her wedding! Both of them are so easy going and were up for anything. Love clients like that.

Leslie & Brian » Engaged!

What a FUN couple! I had an absolute blast with them… as you’ll see in the pictures to follow. We’ve known Leslie for a long time and just love her wonderfully warm personality that kids just flock to. She’s one of the first people that our newborn daughter Alana went to and slept on while we were able to eat in peace! Needless to say, Leslie holds a special place in our hearts. That’s why I’m thrilled to photograph her wedding next month to Brian!

Josh and Stephanie | After Wedding

After their wonderful wedding (which you can see here), Josh and Steph were hungry to capture more memories from their day. So after all the guests left the reception, the bridal party met at Coolidge Park. We had to move quickly because it had been raining on and off throughout the day and it certainly looked like it was going to rain again.

After this initial shot, the wedding party seemed to lack energy and were just going to pose for the camera. “Posing for the camera” doesn’t define this group of young energetic people, so I had to get them out of their shell. Once I gave them “creative freedom” to run any of their crazy ideas past me, it got really fun really fast. They were coming up with wild stuff and we decided to act on all of their ideas. Here are some of my favorites!

One of my favorite wedding pics I’ve ever taken…

Each guys’ personality came through here. I gave them basic instruction and turned them loose – and I love what came out of it!

Allow me to shed some light on this next picture: we decided to run in slow motion down the hill!

It was fun to watch the bride calmly watch the groomsmen nearly kill her new husband. She had full faith in them. Such a fun series to photograph!

I love the contrast here: beautiful, classy ladies and a rusted, dilapidated staircase!
