The Ritterbush Wedding!

Friday, the 28th of Dec. It was 3 days after the presents were opened but still long enough for family to be in town. To the rest of Chattanooga, it was one of the rainiest days we’ve had in a long time. Like flash flood type rain. Wet and dreary. “Miserable” would the adjective that people would use to describe the day.
But not the the crowd I was with. Despite the conditions outside, “warm” and “exciting” are the words people around me would have used to described the day. For on this wet and dreary day, a very special couple named David and Brooke made a lasting covenant with each other to spend the rest of their lives together. It was beautiful thing to see!
I got a new macro lens the day before the wedding and got to play around with some detail shots. Fun ring shots!
The bride getting ready with her girls.
And the groom with his guys…
Upon seeing each other for the first time, they spent some time alone in prayer in the very spot that they would be dedicating their lives together only hours later.
The rain let up long enough for us to take a couple fun photos outside! Yes!
One moment during the ceremony, the officiating pastor, David Lawson, accidentally gave Brooke the husbands vows. After repeating a couple lines, she realized something was definitely wrong…
This was a moment during the reception, as David’s older brother gave a toast…
And later on, David’s very proud father Bernie Ritterbush got to speak to the crowd about the couple.
Wonderful couple. Amazing food. Fun games. Great people. Incredible celebration. I was honored to be a part of their day!
David and Brooke, have fun on your honeymoon!
