Hey everyone, remember me!?
It’s been a while since I’ve updated my blog. It is the winter months and it’s pretty slow photoshoot-wise right now but that’s completely okay because things are starting to change around here! I’m working on a project (that will be released hopefully within the next couple of weeks), tying up lose ends from 2008, and generally brainstorming to figure out how to make Rich Smith Photography the best we can be! So stay tuned, exciting things are coming!
One of the things we’re changing in 2009 is the way we post our blogs. As you can see from the images below, it’s looking a little different around here. From here on, we’re showing pictures storyboard style! So instead of only putting pictures that can stand alone, we’re excited to merge images that compliment each other and tell a story. Also, like in this blog post, instead of only showing about 10 to 15 stand alone images, we’re showing 62 images! Both Heather and I are addicted to this type of layout and we hope you will be too! Please give us your feedback on the new format!

Heather and I got to spend a very relaxing time in Florida on Christmas. It was indeed a much needed break for us. Lots of chilling and enjoying family time.
One evening in particular, we headed to the beach to document this time of Alana’s life… on the beach! We had an absolute blast. Alana was apprehensive of the sand but didn’t freak out like last time. I loved shooting there because it’s absolutely beautiful and completely different than what we have around here! The closest thing we have to a beach is a sandbox at the playground!
Well, if a picture is worth a thousand words, let these pictures tell the 62,000-word-story of our trip to the beach. Enjoy!

Thank you for looking! Leave a comment to let us know what you think of the new format!
